Weekly Workouts + What I Ate in a Day

It is Monday! We have arrived!

How ya feeling on this Monday? I’m feeling a little off because it’s 65 degrees in our house but I refuse to turn the heater on until the last possible minute. Colorado suddenly decided to be fall on Saturday morning and I’ve been cold ever since. I must have poor circulation because my feet DO NOT warm up in the winter time. Unless I’m in a shower, bath tub or hot tub, my feet are screwed. So I spent the weekend being cold and rained on. I don’t know how people do it in the Pacific Northwest. The only way I’m dealing with it is by complaining and drinking my hot coffee at home for the first time since May.

So get this. Over the weekend, I was at one too many parties. And when a party is involved, snacks are involved. And since I don’t drink at these parties usually because I’m the DD, I snack instead to entertain myself. And it was a BIG snacking weekend. Maybe I’m emotionally eating because of the cooler temperatures or bulking up for hibernation, but either way, it was a lot of snacks. I even ate the frosting off a piece of bundt cake so I wouldn’t eat the cake itself and get a total stomach ache.

I still had a stomach ache.

But I stayed away from alcohol and didn’t have a hangover so I still conquered one goal. It’s the small victories that we have to relish in sometimes.

I talk about this all the time, but diets don’t have to be perfect. The healthier you eat longterm and the better choices you make over time will add up. So when you run into a birthday party and there are snacks that you never have…
