I just had my alarm go off this morning and the sound was on full blast and I think I may have crapped my pants. I wake up pretty early every day on my own so I don’t usually turn on an alarm but I have some extra work to get done on this Monday and the alarm was needed. But now I’m in a crap mood. I really do still need that alarm that just creates light in your bedroom to wake you up. Having a heart attack just isn’t doing it for me.

Ok, let’s rewind. Happy Monday! I hope your day is off to a wonderful start and you’re ready to kick some serious butt in the gym and at work! No matter what the weekend brought you, whether it a lazy couple days on the couch, or too many margaritas, or some pizza you just couldn’t say no to – today is a new day. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the guilt of the weekend and the choices we made, but guilt shouldn’t be associated with how we feed our bodies. And if you are feeling that guilt, well, maybe it’s time to stop those behaviors.

For the longest time, I would eat healthy throughout the week, then the weekend came and it was a free-for-all. I would eat pizza and cookies and brownies and anything that I knew I really didn’t need in my diet. And after the weekend was said and done, I was sometimes 10 pounds heavier, depressed and extremely disappointed in myself. And this pattern continued on for months and months. Until I finally said no more. I didn’t want to feel guilt every Monday and be depressed because of the rollercoaster I put my hormones through. I didn’t want to be disappointed with myself and…
