Kay House Sports Glass All Over

Kay House Sports Glass All Over

The contemporary style Kay House, built by Hobart-based Maria Gigney Architects, is as awesome as it can get. Originally it was a brick cottage by the banks of Dervent River, and was re- modeled in 2002. Now, this is a three-storey building with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a solar-heated, salt- water pool. The wall of this wonderful building is made mostly of glass and steel which gives an unobstructed vision to the thick lawn and the river close by.

The glass roof lets the sunlight in, and thereby reduces the cost on electricity. You can have a wonderful vision of the sky through the roof. The solar heater offers a cheap hot-bath, without much stress on environment. The design of the pool is wonderfully done by providing light and sound subtly to make it the key feature of the design. The house which is extended over an area of 3,895 square foot is currently on sale.
